Dennie Schmidt

Dennie Schmidt is a real estate professional serving Cedar City, Brian Head, Duck Creek and surrounding areas of Southern Utah. A native Utahn born and raised in Layton, Dennie moved to Cedar City in 2011 and fell in love with the landscape, protected natural lands, outdoor recreation, and the gorgeous seasons that are found in Southern Utah.

Prior to entering the real estate industry, Dennie was a stay-at-home mom to her four amazing children; she graduated from Utah State University in 2010 with a degree in Social Studies Composite for Secondary Education. A lifelong learner, over the years Dennie earned many certifications in the health and wellness industry including group fitness, yoga, cycling, personal training, and health and wellness coaching. She taught group fitness classes for 26 years, was a personal trainer and worked as the fitness director at three different sports clubs.

Dennie loves working with and helping people achieve their dreams, whether that be fitness-related or in their search for the perfect place to call home. She’s been inspired to help others become the best, healthiest version of themselves so that they can live life to its fullest, and today she’s taking that dedication and transforming it into real estate. She loves helping guide her clients through one of the biggest purchases of their lives, acting as both a resource, teacher, and advocate throughout the entire process. Along the way, she hopes to inspire others to find joy and fun, no matter the process.

Dennie joined Summit Sotheby’s International Realty in the spring of 2022; she was drawn to their company culture and the belief that luxury is an experience – not a price point – that every client should receive regardless of the size, location or price point of home. She enjoys building relationships with her clients, caring for them like family instead treating them like a transaction number – a belief that is echoed by the team of professionals at Summit Sotheby’s International Realty. SSIR is Utah’s only real estate brokerage with full-time in-house teams of support staff specializing in professional marketing and advertising, photography and videography, transaction management, legal, operations and more.

As a real estate professional, Dennie describes herself as loyal and conscientious, honest, responsive and hard working. She’s willing to go the extra mile for her clients to ensure their success and puts their needs and wishes first to ensure she’s the best advocate possible.

Dennie is passionate about finding the joy in life and enjoying the journey – although not always easy, she’s a believer that life teaches us lessons for a reason, building strength and character. She tries to stay present, enjoying every moment as it comes.

When she’s not working in real estate, Dennie enjoys spending time outdoors Southern Utah’s incredible weather; hiking, boating, river rafting, camping and side-by-siding. She loves to relax and read, stay active exercising and absolutely anything to do with her family. Two of her four children are now married, and she is a proud grandma to two baby boys. She remarried in 2018 to her wonderful, loving husband and she now has the added benefit of a bonus daughter who fills their lives with sunshine and laughter.
